tell me what eczema stages feel like for my infant

Hi all,

What I want to do is try to understand the problem so i can help him
when he needs it most.

It goes in a cycle, there is no end it is constant and fairly
consistent pattern.

1. Red and blotchy looking, itchy, soon to get open and weepy due to
rubbing his face on blankets, me, socks on hands etc. this is a 2 day
thing usually.
2. Dry and crackey, flakey, itchy. if he gets his hands to rubbing it
then it goes back to red and weepy in that area. skin flakes off like
crazy. I learned that if I don’t wash it these days the flakes will
pile up and get really nasty thick and crusty.

3. We either start over here or have ONE nice face day, where it isn’t
perfect, but looks darn good for him… sometimes looks a bit red
blotchy but faint.

What I would like is advice on when to do the best things, doc says
moisterize all the time (and i do) but it’s hard when it’s weepy to
moisterize as everything slides off. i moisterize the hell out of it
in the other phases, but can’t use anything but cetaphil or
vasoline/aquafor due to screaming in agony.

so when is it the itchiest? what advice do you have as i have no idea
how he feels or how to help itch him if need be etc.

Also, try to loacate a good doctor of homeopathy (traditional
homeopathy) and work with him on finding the right homeopathic
    remedy.

I have been using organic products but one thing that I have ben using that
works for taking off the dead skin is Jergens skin smoothing lotion - my hand
looks decent but my sister’s has healed - it has fruit acids on it that peels
    off dead skin.

    hello,

My name is Pamela, my daughter is 3 years old now, when she was about 3 month
star the eczema by the time she was 9 month it was all over her body she was
itchy all day, her hair was falling her scalp was cover with eczema, he whole
body was peeling off, it was terrible she did not play, sleep, or eat ….we did
not know what to do we visited 5 pediatrician and 2 dermatologist 1
allergist..no one have and answer or what can we do to help our daughter…by
the time she was 18 month we saw another allergist ,,,this doctor was the only
one that help us…she told us she will get better.. and it work after a week my
baby wore her first shirt….and the itchy got better…now she is three she
still has eczema and allergist to food, but is not as severe as before, I still
have to watch for a lot of thing buy she is happy, she plays and she now she is
allergic to some food and she will tell you no thanks I am allergic..

for 2 weeks and see the changes…

    You can eat

    pork/ham/bacon/ground pork/pork chops
vegetables green as well as carrots and squash
    fruits apples pears bananas
    oat
    corn
    rice
    beans
potato sweat white can be mashed boiled fried
    fish cod
    rice milk

what she recommended eliminating food for 2 a 3 weeks
after elimination period reintroduce one food at the time…allow 2 to3 days
between each food to reintroduce a new one….observe any symptoms like stomach
    upset congestion redness, itchiness.

Make sure to prepare food as plain as possible, read all labels avoid
derivative products of milk( casein, whey, caseinate, lactose, lactoglobulin )
eggs( albumin, livetin, ovomucin, lecithin, vitellin, ovovilellin)
    Try to avoid preservatives, colorants

She told us that some time all the redness is staff bacteria, we used lever
2000 and after weeks we change to dove, she recommend vanicream( it did not work
for us I use eucerin and aquaphor) she gave us a prescription Elocon for the
very red areas we used very little(we don’t used that much because is not good
for the skin or the body), also Atarax we used 3 times a day at the beginner
after only at night and now we don’ t used any more

    We star giving children multivitamin
My baby was 18 month at the time and she gave us this list
    Vitamin C 250 mg
Vitamin E 200 unints per day(must be natural not synthetic)
    Evening Primrose oil 200mg
Flax oil omega3 fatty acids 250 daily infants
    Calcium caltrate
    270mg 6-12 mo
    500mg 1-3 years
    Culturelle www.culturelle.com probiotics

Tell you doctor to do an allergy test (it a blood test and tell you what the
allergies he has so you know what to avoid them)

We also went to a naturist and it was very hard trying to help us he gave us
drink with soy …we find out she is very allergic to soy and she was very itchy
all over and her skin got very red, dry, peel off and weep,…I like the natural
I do it for me but for a baby it to hard they don’t speak they can not tell you
how they feel so careful what you try….somehow doing the diet and the
supplemts my baby improve…we use organic food and seveth generation clean
products in our house, we got a shower filter winter her skin get very dry I put
cream every mornig and nigt and she has to get a bath every day ……we still
avoid (dairy, soy, egg, peanuts, beef, chicken and lately also corn and oat )

I hope some of this help, if you are not breastfeeding what king of formula
you are using ( if is Nutramigen) and your baby still with that severe eczema
there is formula that doctor can prescribe, watch the cereal read everything in
the label sometimes they use the same equitment that process dairy or
nuts….sometimes just the oats, I found rice farina (you can cook with water
and brown sugar), you can give him fresh pears apples …

Also, try to loacate a good doctor of homeopathy (traditional
homeopathy) and work with him on finding the right homeopathic
    remedy.

Here are some links you can look at.

They helped me with psoriasis, eczema is a close relative. These sites will
tell you to eat or feed your baby all natural healthy food vegetables and drink
filtered water also go organic with your vegetables. Do you give him bottled
milk? If so, try and find organic milk if possible.
Don’t give up and keep trying, from what you have written you sound like a
strong person. It will clear if you keep trying.

Are you nursing or is the baby on formula? Or is he/she eating solids?
Since eczema is a autoimmune disorder you really need to find out what the
trigger is. Our Ped told us my son just had dry skin. I went to see a
dermatologist and found out it was eczema and i have been woking on learning
everthing I can. MY son is 2 and we found out the eggs are his trigger
food. Milk, eggs, wheat are some examples of trigger foods. My son has
reactions to petrolum so all of the time we put vasoline on him (doctors
suggestion) we were making it worse. We started use products that did not
contain petrolum and then we wrote down what he ate during a break outs,
thas how we found out that it was eggs. we started to use melaleuca’s renew
lotion and he was able to stop using the steriod cream. With my second
son, i have noticed some dry spots and I am making sure not to eat alot o
the standard trigger foods while he is nursing.
