Will I really forget about my Eczema?
I’m 13 and dermatologists have been telling me that there’s no real
cure for eczema. They told me I would just forget about it. Has anyone
really forgotten about it?

the dermatologist is a big load of crazy! Eczema is an autoimmune disorder
so you made grow out of eczema but you may start having asthma or hayfever.
You should have you parents report that doctor for treating you that way.

Hi
I have chronic eczema since 1986. Last year I started to take organic health
supplement daily and it works wonder to my poor skin. You must do something
about it. Prevention is better than cure. You can depend on health products
to strengthen your immune system and very soon you will get well. Do email
to me to know the details.
Wish you well

my eczema gets much better - it is up to u - u put something bad in yours
system and u pay for it - fasting is a way of cleansing your system so your
liver

My sister developed a very rare disease called pityriasis rubra polaris
(sp??), which is a cousin of eczema. She went on a very strict diet
developed by a psoriasis doctor and it seems to have really helped her.
Just an idea. I wouldn’t leave any stone unturned.

So, there’s another Sue, and even another Sue W! I will sign as Sue Ellen
then! That’s my real name anyway.
Hydrogen peroxide was recommended to me when I awoke once again in the
middle of the night with extreme itching problems. I have a friend I can
call in the middle of the night as he is a security guard. He told me to put
hydrogen peroxide on the skin problem areas. I didn’t want to take a bath in
a hydrogen peroxide solution, so I soaked a washcloth and patted the red
areas. It worked! The itching went away and I was able to sleep the rest of
the night. Then this morning after my shower I did the same thing and didn’t
have itching while I was at work this afternoon.
I am thrilled! I was getting so discouraged about the spreading and about
the unsightly appearance. I have also gained a lot of weight lately so I
feel more like staying inside, but I’m not going to do it. I will beat this
thing! I appreciate everyone’s feedback. I think the sugar thing is huge. I
notice that on my left palm where I have some serious eczema, when I eat
sugar, a crack opens up. I have a big problem giving up sugar, I hope I can
do it.
I went to a homeopath and she gave me some other things, said that the skin
disorder could be because I am not properly digesting and eliminating my
food - so she gave me enzymes for every time I eat and a laxative for before
bedtime. She also said to go to bed by 9 p.m. (that sounds like an
impossibility!) and not to eat any carbs after 7 p.m. Those are huge changes
for me.
Thanks for sharing and keep doing it!
Hugs, Sue Ellen

I really believe it is cause mostly by what you eat. My daughter is
4 and until then I was able to keep it under control so well that
the doctor would never diagnose her as having eczema. But one I
lost control it was terrible. Now I keep her off of eggs which she
is moderatley allergic to, dairy which she is not but it acts up if
there is too much in her system. But there are other factors that
make it flare up mildy. I am working on it and so is her school.
The improvement is amazing. Have any of you ever heard of the rice
diet??? A lady went to a dr cause she didnt feel well. She had
diabetes, blood pressure, heart, and other problems as well as being
overweight. He told her what to eat and come back in 3 wks. Not
speaking english well she came bake in 3 months. Her health was
great not only that she lost weight too. Yes the food we buy has so
much SH** in it. I dont understand how they allow it to be sold fo
consumption.
Keep a diary on everything you eat and your skin reactions This may
help figure out what your body is reacting too.

Yes it is very helpful to write down a food diary and introduce different
foods and see what your skin reacts to. I needed to lose weight coz I am going
out which I haven’t in months. I went on an apple and veggie juice diet (all
organic) - my skin looks 85% better. It really is what you eat. I am not sure
if organic helps but I do believe it is much better for you than conventional
vegetables and fruits. I have skipped eating refined sugars, breads and
rice. Meat doesn’t do much damage to me. The worse part about this disease is
that everyone is different. I also use Jergens skin smoothing lotion to get rid
of the dead skin cells and cell renewal - it does really help - I haven’t
found an organic alternative for this but at this time I am satisfied using it.
It does sting the first time you use it but after awhile it prevented my skin
from breaking.

Organic fruit and vegetables…..which are better….It depends which
chemicals are worst for you. Most organic fruits and vegetables are
poluted from our cars due to alot of the farms in california are next
to those parking lots called hwys. The only real organic to buy is
ones grown in green houses which many arent. Eating fruits and
veggies either way are going to improve your health.
Red meats are said to be bad for people with eczema. I think it is
more than the meat its the hormones put in our foods.

Please advise on brand names for baby wash. Aside note: A patch test showed
that I was allergic formaldehyde. Most soaps, moisturizers, and makeup products
contain formaldehyde-releasing agents to retard "spoilage" so, when shopping, I
carefully read the labels.
Thanks,
