What do you mean by apple cider “with mother”?

Thank you for your story. It’s encouraging.

Hi,
I haven't posted for months. I had given in to the eczema after
several visits to the dermatologist. Last time she wanted to take yet
another biopsy & I just never went back. I have tried all kinds of
prescription and non prescription pharmaceutical products and home
remedies, made my own chickweed salve, even rubbed my skin with amonia
straight out of the bottle but the exzema persisted.
<!--more-->

Couple of months ago, I tried using organic apple cider with mother,
gotten from a local orchard, I rubbed it on my skin, and used it as a
rinse on my hair rather than conditioner. Poured it on my head, it
is extremely strong, too. Never let it get into your eyes!

The excema started going away and is almost gone now, all the itchy
sores have dried up. I had this mess of itchy sores for two years. It
is sooooo great to not be scratching all the time!!!!!

Apple cider vinegar they say, is antiseptic and also a fungicide.
Maybe it took care of some germs, or a fungus, maybe it changed my
skin pH.
Or maybe my exzema had run its course. Who knows. At any rate, it's
worth a try!! Apple cider vinegar with mother. You can also put a
tablespoon in a glass of water, drink it every day.

What's "mother"?

What is Natural Apple Cider Vinegar?
Different from the refined and distilled vinegars usually found in
supermarkets, Natural Apple Cider Vinegar is made from fresh, crushed,
organically
grown apples and allowed to mature in wooden barrels, which boosts its natural
fermentation qualities. When mature, it contains a web-like substance, called
"mother", which becomes visible when the rich brownish liquid is held to the
light. The mother can be used to add to other vinegar to hasten maturity for
more Apple Cider Vinegar.

What is the nature of the Mother?
The mother is the dark, cloudy substance in the ACV ú formed from naturally
occurring pectin and apple residues - it appears as molecules of protein
<!--more-->
connected in strand-like chains. The presence of the mother shows that the best
part of the apple has not been destroyed. Vinegars containing the mother
contain enzymes and minerals that other vinegars may not contain due to
overprocessing, filtration and overheating.
