medication for eczema

July 16th, 2007

I found these treatments for eczema:

(1)Cure your Eczema by Janet Simpson — "cure it permanently in 14 days".
Sounds too good
to be true. Anyone tried it? Has it been discussed anywhere? Consists of 36
page book on
proper diet and some supplements you can buy.

(2) ProEcza, cream & sprays they claim are the best available — "recommended by
NEA" but
when I went to NEA, couldn’t find any such recommendations.

My dermitologist didn’t even mention them. Are they any good?

Happy to have found you guys

July 16th, 2007

Hello!

My son has been suffering moderate/severe eczema (and asthma) since
practically the day he was born. We’ve tried countless things over
the years with no substantial results.

About seven years or so ago, we adopted a healthier lifestyle, opting
out of most canned and packaged foods, avoiding things like high
fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, processed sugars,
fried foods, cereals, veg. oils, corn oils and butter substitutes
like the plague. The change WAS VERY HARD as everything in the
grocery store had one or more of these things in them.

Any suggestions on a direction to go to stem this raging Red Tide Ps

July 13th, 2007

Greetings to all:

I am new to the group and am sure there must be someone out there who
is suffering as seriously as I.

I’ve had psoriasis since 1986… each year it spreads further and
further across the body. By 1992 it was appearing on the legs, but
not the arms. By 1997 it was appearing on the arms and legs (thighs
mostly), but wasn’t covering the massive territory it is now. By 2002
it had completely covered the backs of my hands (not the palms) and
now it has nearly completely covered the arms, legs and thighs, on
the body’s rear area and is attempting to cross over to the chest and
shoulders (that have fortunately remained clear, until now, along
with the clear face).

restricted diet made me worse !

July 13th, 2007

I’m 54 and have had eczema my entire life, eccept for 6 years when I
lived in Hawaii during my 20’s. I think the miracle cure at that time
was sun, salt water, and general happiness. Recently the condition
worsened so I went to a naturopath md who has cured herself of 30
years of eczema via diet and supplements. To prepare for this, I quit
smoking and began to drop gluten foods, sugar, alcohol, etc. The md
put me on a very strict diet of no sugars, no fruit (except
blueberries, thank god!) no soy, beef, nuts, eggs, dairy,
nightshades. All I can eat is rice, a few other grains, veggies,
fish, poultry. And nothing but water to drink.

So, I started each day with rice cereal, blue berries, cinnamon and
coconut oil, and I ended the day with the same thing, my "treat" so
to speak. And I stuck to the diet for 2 weeks, but I itched and
scratched a great deal, especially at bed time, upon waking, and mid

New here

July 9th, 2007

Hi,
I’m new to this group and I hope somenone can help me here. I have
eczema on my hands that I can’t seem to get rid of. I went to a
dermatologist a few years ago and all she did was give me a steroid
cream. It worked somewhat, but not completely, and of course, the
rash and itching came back. It’s not unbearable, but sometimes it’s
worse than others. I don’t think I’m allergic to anything, but maybe
I am? Someone once suggested a heavy metal cleanse, but I haven’t
tried that. Does this sound like somnething that would help?
Thanks for any advice you can give me.

OT - New Strains of Diseases in Modern Living

July 9th, 2007

New strains of diseases that are almost impossible to cure are
surfacing in the civilized world, especially among young generations.
Illness of modern life—you heard it, don’t you?

About 8 years ago, I saw a TV news program alerting that a college
student came to an ear specialist. The attending doctor shook his
head because he couldn’t find the reason or cause of the young
patient who was losing his hearing capability rapidly.

The young man visited several hospitals seeking for help, because he
nearly lost his hearing capability.

Responding to the TV news, one of private research institute offered
to study the young man in exchange with publication in a certain
company advertisement.

OT - Ancient Healing: Traditional Chinese Medicine

July 8th, 2007

Most Japanese senior citizens knew or learned during their childhood
in the school or from their parents or old folks that there were only
404 kinds of illnesses, and they were treated by traditional chinese
herbs from Etchu, Toyama Prefecture in Japan.

And yes, these traditional medicines are very effective.

I believe that herbs listed below seem to be competitive to modern
medicines available in your neighborhood drugstores.

As you know, most modern drugs are from traditional botanical herbs
or known animals. Of course, if you visit Chinese medical herb
stores, you will wonder or somewhat amazed when you see grotesque
appearance of dried sea horse, tortoise, feet of animals, etc.
However, they are also very effective for treatment of modern
